Today is the last Dusk post of the year. While I do hope that I’ll start this back up again next summer or sooner, you likely won’t see Dusk anymore until then. So I just want to thank everyone who stuck around these past 2 months! I had a lot of fun doing it, and I love showing Dusk off to people. Hopefully, when I start this back up again, I’ll have a job and be able to advertise the blog more consistently. But otherwise, thank you everyone who read any of this blog! Whether it was only the one or two advertised posts or every single one of them. I’m very grateful for all of you, and Dusk is too.
We hope that you’ll stay tuned for the next blog post, whenever that is, and I’m excited for whatever lies in store for the future. So instead of saying goodbye, I’ll say see you later, everyone!
The summer is nearing the end, and next week will likely be the last Dusk post for a while. But still, for the few readers who have stuck with me this whole time, I’d like to make it clear that Dusk is and will be (at least for a while) an important part of my life. I’m completely aware that she’s not a sentient creature. I know that she’s just a stuffed shark that couldn’t care less if she got unceremoniously destroyed or got to stay with me for the rest of my life.
However, it’s what Dusk means to me that matters. She’s a symbol of my happiness and my raison d’etre. Maybe she doesn’t feel anything, but it doesn’t matter to me. For as long as I’m willing and able, I’m gonna keep pampering Dusk because that’s what I want. Even if Dusk can’t enjoy the pampering, it makes me feel better to know that she would if she were actually alive. So because of this, Dusk will always be my Dusk! Even if I’m separated from her and she doesn’t care, I know what she means to me, and that’s what’s important.
And I don’t like asking for donations, but if you can afford to give anything, please do it here! Every cent goes straight to the blog, and I’d love for the website to keep growing so that more people can see Dusk! Anyway, thanks for reading! If you have any thoughts on the hat or if you have any of your own funny hats that you’d like to talk about, tell me in the comments below!
Anyway, that’s it for this blog! Like I said, this will probably be the second to last post for a while, but I still do plan on coming back to this blog eventually (I got a 2-year plan for the website after all).

Superman (2025) came out a few weeks ago, and I recently rewatched it with my sister. I liked it just as much as I watched it the first time, and a lot of it came from how hopeful and optimistic it is. Superman always tries to do the right thing, no matter how hard it is, and he never gives up hope. Even when everyone around him basically calls him naive and idealistic, he refuses to give up being a hero.
This is the kind of thing that made me want to make this blog in the first place. Dusk makes me so happy and hopeful that I wanted to share them with the world, and Superman genuinely gave me the same emotion. After Man of Steel’s much more cynical and dark interpretation of the hero, I am more than happy with James Gunn’s new take on him.
Anyway, that’s it for this blog! If you want your own Blåhaj to watch movies with, you can get one here! And I’m not sponsored by IKEA, I just really like their sharks.

Depending on how you found this website, you’ve probably seen Dusk in this hat. It’s probably one of the more popular ads that I’ve made for this website, and I’ve always really liked this picture. It’s simple, it’s funny, and it gives a lot of information about Dusk.
For a quick backstory, I initially got this hat as one of two possible gifts for my friend Monky (the other gift being the normal, inverse version of the hat). She picked the normal version, so I kept this funny version. I didn’t have Dusk yet at this point, and once I got Dusk, one of the first photos I took of him was him in this hat, and that’s the photo you see above. It’s a funny hat, and although I don’t wear it often, I like keeping Dusk in the hat since it gives character.
Anyway, that’s it for this blog! If you want your own Blåhaj to take funny photos with, you can get one here! And I’m not sponsored by IKEA, I just really like their sharks.

So Dusk used to be a smoker (meaning she smoked one cig and then never again but still). She got an intense joy from the experience but then immediately started coughing her lungs out because of the smoke. After that, she never smoked again.
So she was lucky enough to not pick it up as a habit, and since then, she’s been telling people to stop smoking! But even though she has good intentions, it’s not quite that easy to stop. Anybody who’s been a smoker and wanted to quit before knows that it’s a long process to stop for the sake of your health, and Dusk, being a stuffed, inanimate object, doesn’t understand this.
Still, though, if you smoke and you want to quit, then just know that Dusk will always be supporting you! Even if you aren’t able to quit completely or if you relapse, it’s fine. Every addiction takes a while to end, and it’s expected that you’ll have a few bumps along the road. If you’re a smoker and you don’t want to quit, that’s your prerogative too! Just please try not to smoke around non-smokers.
And that’s it for this post! The main message of this post is to not smoke, and that’s pretty much it. If you want your own Blåhaj to smoke or not smoke with, you can get one here! And I’m not sponsored by IKEA, I just really like their sharks.
And I don’t like asking for donations, but if you can afford to give anything, please do it here! Every cent goes straight to the blog, and I’d love for the website to keep growing so that more people can see Dusk! Anyway, thanks for reading! If you have any thoughts about smoking or Dusk’s single experience with smoking, please leave them in the comments!
So a really short post today since I haven’t been feeling well all week, and I’ll likely change the blog schedule to once a week. Today’s post is just a reminder that this blog is dedicated to making happy, and Dusk is supposed to be a symbol of that. They might just be a stuffed shark, but they’ve brought me so much happiness, and I love them so much for it. If you’re going through tough times, just remember that things have a way of working themselves out if you put the effort in. Things won’t always be perfect, and things won’t always be better than they were before, but things will almost always be fine at the end.
And that’s it for this post! Like I said, it’s a short post, and I’m gonna change the frequency of the blog to once a week, but I’ll try to make the quality of each post better to make up for it. If you want your own Blåhaj to bring you love, you can get one here!
I hope you all have a fantastic day, and remember that even if it doesn’t always feel like it, you have people who love you!
Like many humans, Dusk has seasonal allergies. For half the year, Dusk does nothing except sneeze, cough, and sniff up snot. She suffers greatly the entire time, and I feel nothing but sympathy for Dusk during this time.
As you can see in the picture above, I have to blow Dusk’s nose for her all the time because she has no hands to do so herself. It’s a thankless job, but I’ll do anything I can to keep her happy.
And I also have to spend a boatload of money on cough drops for Dusk. She downs these things like there’s no tomorrow, and they only barely help her stop coughing. But still, anything is fine as long as she’s happy!
Anyway, that’s it for this blog! Again, I know it was short, but I might keep these posts at about this length from this point on since I don’t think that Dusk really wants y’all to spend too much time reading about it. If you want your own Blåhaj to take care of, you can get one here! And I’m not sponsored by IKEA, I just really like their sharks.

If you have any thoughts on Dusk’s allergies or how to deal with them, tell me in the comments below!
So today’s post is about Yotsuba&! To anybody who doesn’t know, Yotsuba&! is a slice-of-life manga series about a four-year-old girl named Yotsuba. The manga follows her on her many misadventures through life as she has fun with her dad, her neighbors, and her friends. It’s set in the same universe as Azumanga Daioh and makes plenty of references to it! It’s a nice series, and even though it rarely gets updated nowadays, I’ve yet to meet anyone who hasn’t loved it!
I bought the poster from an artist from Anime Midwest back in 2024, and although I hate that I forgot who the artist was, I’m still very grateful to them for the poster, and I hope that I can find out who they are again! The poster is cute and simply hangs in my room for now. And as you can see, Dusk loves the poster as well! She just stares at it all day, and even though she hasn’t read a page of Yotsuba&!, she agrees that Yotsuba is cute!
Anyway, that’s it for this blog! I know it was short, but I’ve been a bit busy recently. If you want your own Blåhaj to read Yotsuba&! with, you can get one here!
If you have any thoughts on Yotsuba&!, tell me in the comments below!
I hope you guys like cosplay because this post is all about that! I love dressing Dusk up as various characters. It’s always so fun to see how I can convert my cosplay outfits over to Dusk, and they always look so funny.
The first cosplay is the featured image, with Dusk as Umaru from Himouto! Umaru-chan, one of my favorite anime of all time (as much as people judge me for it, haha). I got the hood for Christmas a few years ago, then I decided to cosplay as Umaru for Halloween a year or two later. It’s more of a gender-bent Umaru, but in the context of Dusk, Dusk looks really nice! It’s a fun outfit, and you can easily tell who they’re dressed up as!
Next up is Dusk as Hatsune Miku!
Dusk as Miku
You might have seen this a few days ago in the music post (which you can read here), but here it is again! And yes, I know the wig is messy, I was too lazy to brush it back when I got the costume, and Dusk and I suffered the consequences for it… But anyway, Dusk love Vocaloid, and they dressed up as Miku! I got this costume for an anime club event, and it was pretty fun to be Miku all day (even if the wig was messy as heck). If I had one thing I would change, though, I would try to get a microphone for Dusk to sing into…
Speaking of the anime club, now, we have Dusk as Akari Akasaka, the mascot of the Cornell Anime Club!
Dusk as Akari
Because Akari was a custom-made mascot, I had to make most of the cosplay from scratch, with help from my friend, Ama! It was a lot of fun getting the supplies and making it together, and it turned out great! Because Dusk has no arms, legs, or really any human body part, however, they only have on the wig and cute hat. But, still, Dusk looks just like Akari, but is twice as cute because they’re a Blåhaj!
And lastly, we have Dusk as Jean from Genshin Impact!
Dusk as Jean
Yes, I know the mask is terrifying, but be not afraid of Dusk! Truth be told, I haven’t played Genshin Impact at all. I only got the mask from an event that some friends went to because I wanted to tag along. But I think it’s really funny for Dusk to wear this mask because the eye holes are completely cursed.
Anyway, that’s it for this blog! If you want your own Blåhaj to dress up, you can get one here! And I should reiterate, that I’m not sponsored by IKEA, I just really like their sharks.
And I usually don’t like asking for donations, but if you can afford to give anything, please do it here! Every cent goes straight to the blog, and I’d love for the website to keep growing so that more people can see Dusk! Anyway, thanks for reading! If you have any thoughts on Dusk’s cosplays or if you have your own dress-up plushies that you’d like to talk about, tell me in the comments below!
Next up on the saga of Dusk’s friends is Lacey! You might have heard of Lacey from Lacey’s Flash Games– a popular horror series on YouTube by ghosttundra. Well, this is the same one! After quite a bit of trouble with Makeship, I got an official Lacey plushie, and she’s been pretty good friends with Dusk!
As you can see from the above image, she’s the perfect size to ride Dusk! He might be way bigger than her, but her floppy legs fit perfectly on top of him, so Lacey and Dusk are perfect together.
A bit too perfect together, though, since Dusk has since developed a tiny crush on Lacey…
Dusk rizzing Lacey up
It was a noble attempt, but Lacey ultimately turned down Dusk… Maybe next time, though!
Anyway, that’s it for this blog! And if you haven’t noticed, I’m going to try to post on the somewhat consistent schedule of Mondays and Fridays at 9AM CST, so stay tuned for the next post! And If you want your own Blåhaj to play with your other plushies, you can get one here!
